The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance point designed for intervention experiences a high influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and sassa maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
